This in an interview with the French Foreign Minister on BBC. He strikes me as one of the most intelligent people in politics today. His goal comes across clearly as the well-being of people, not the political goals of his country.

It is long, about 20 minutes, but well worth watching for a good interview about the reality of war and peace between the West and the Muslim worlds.

Yeah, I know what you mean. When I was in 11th grade, I met with the Canadian ambassador to the UN, along with some other students from the National MUN I was going to in NY. His logic about the issues (which at the time were pretty heavy - the UN was meeting that week because NATO had started airstrikes on Kosovo) was well put and rational, and it's so different from the weird logic, impulsiveness, and rhetoric based instead of diplomatically based rationale that we get out of our President. I think I could say more on this, but I just woke up and my brain's not totally awake yet. But yeah.
