Pulled from various ppls LJs. I saw some good questions that would have made me think (and did, in fact) so I figured I'd post this up as well.

This is the problem with LJ, we all think we are so close, and we know nothing about each other. I'm going to rectify it. I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me, something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. Ask away.

I'm not exactly sure what to ask you. I only met you that one night before you left. You told me a lot about yourself that night. So I just don't know what to ask.......yet.

Well, after my trip here to Europe, I really have broadened my tastes... a lot.

Cheeses. Lots of strange, strong, good cheeses. Bri is great, as is goat cheese, strange cheese with blue or green lines of mold through it, odd yellow cheeses, etc. Not such a big fan of swiss cheese though.

Meat. Steak, roast, veal, pork, all cooked med-rare. Spices of a wide variety are good on them.

Chocolate Chip Mint Ice Cream, Strawberry also.

Grapenuts cerial, Bananna Cream Pie, Chocolate Cream Pie, Chocolate Cocanut Oatmeal Fridge Cookies, bread of just about any type, prefered french or sourdough, with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

There are more, I know, but those come to mind right off the top of my head.

Sure... did you go to college? If so, where and for what? Or if not, did you want to? What did you "always want to do with your life"?

College

Sort of. I took 2 years of college during my junior and senior years of high school. In fact, I only actuall took 2 years of pre-college classes. My mother was a 4.0 student through all of her classes, pre, during, and post college, and decided that she was smarter then the people who were teaching at our small-town schools, so she decided to homeschool her 4 boys.

Well, when I was 7, and again when I was 9, my parents separated, and my mother started going to college full time and working as a waitress full time, and being a full time mother, while my father's construction business went into bankruptcy, because he did not know how to do paperwork and my mother was not around any more to do it for him. So, because of this, my parent's teaching time was limited. My brothers all needed it more then I, so I was tought how to read, and that was it for structured teaching until my freshmen year of high school. My mother just told me to study what I wanted to and read what I felt like, so, for about 5 years I read approx 1 book a day, every day. When my mother started Law School, she put all 4 of her kids into public school, so I entered 9th grade, Micah entered 7th grade, James entered 5th grade, and Thomas entered 1st grade (notice a theme with those names? Both of my parents went to bible college before getting married. My mother can still recite, from memory, 2 full BOOKS of the bible. It is kinda scary).

I spent 2 years at HS, where, starting out, I knew a lot more history, science, and math then my fellow students, but my spelling, grammer, and inter-personal skills were total shit. Good thing I found spell check. After 2 years of HS, I went to community college for 2 years, while taking 1 class each semester at HS, just so that I could stay on the wrestling team. Technically, I never met the requirements for graduating HS, as I failed Health (Health being Human Sciences, basically). You are supposed to take Health as a freshmen, but I chose to take technical drawing instead, which sounded much more interesting, and figured that I would just pick up health some other year. Well, I took health in my final senior quarter at college (the college courses also counted for HS credit) and the one class that I took at HS was US Government, and it was by my favorite teacher at the HS... and the both were at the exact same time. I figured I would just split my attention between them. In reality, I just went to the US Gov class the whole time and never bothered with Health. I think they gave me a deploma anyway, but I never bothered checking.

After HS, I was just about a Junior in college, so I took some more classes to finish up the Junior status in 1 quarter, and then there was talk about me choosing a major. Well, at that point, I was all of 19, and had to figure out what I wanted to do. No way. I had too many choices. I knew that I wanted to major in Political Science, Computer Programming, Classical History, Psycology, Psychiatry, or Sociology. Either I wanted to go into politics, or I wanted to teach history, or I wanted to work for microsoft, or I wanted to figure out how/why/howtofix people think.

So, at 19, I decided to take a year off. Well, a year and a half, because it was winter at this time. After several months of basically playing games all day, every day at the local game store (it was open 24 hours on weekends, so I rarely slept from Friday morning until Sunday night, went home, crashed until Monday afternoon, read Monday night, game store on Tuesday and Wednesday, read on Thursday, and then back to the game store again on Friday). I got all of my spending money from running tournaments each weekend (L5R Friday night, Star Wars Saturday day, Magic Saturday night, Pokemon Sunday day).

(Too many characters, here is the overflow)

In April I decided to go make money running tournaments an easier way, I would go work for Wizards at the game center running Magic, Pokemon, and Xena tournaments 5 nights a week.

Well, after the 1.5 years had passed, I was working for Interactive Imagination as the lead designer for Magi-Nation, and the chance of me giving up that to go back to school was about 0%. Several years later, here I am.

I do want to finish up school, and I do not know exactly what I want my major to be, but I do know that what I want to end up doing is studying the human brain. Random, I know, but it interests me more than anything else, so that is what I want to do. I am not sure if that means a medical degree or not, as I really do not like much else about being a doctor. As soon as I am financially stable and have a stable place to live, I will start up some classes again.

you don't need a medical degree, you can just go to school for a long ass time and be a research scientist type. =)

I've always wondered about your political views. I know that growing up in Washington would defineatly lean you towards more Liberal ideals, but you also spent a long time in ultra-Conservative Texas.

Also I've never understood why you and Micah were so imcompatible. It seemed like you two used to argue about everything.
